Fairfield County Press Release - Hall of Fame Inducts Six

The Fairfield County Sports Commission's 2nd Annual SportsNight celebration took place Monday night at the Westin Stamford before a sellout crowd of nearly 700. The evening concluded with the induction of the six newest members of the Fairfield County Sports Hall of Fame.

Bobby Valentine traveled all the way from Japan to be back in his hometown for the ceremony. Valentine was presented with his Hall of Fame award for the Jackie Robinson Professional Wing by his longtime friend from Stamford, Bennett Salvatore, who enters his 25th year as an NBA referee this season.
