練習やトレーニングのあいまに、おおよそ１００人くらいの小学生と話をしました。約３０分くらいの間、私から野球の話をしたり彼らの質問に答えたりもしました。小学生ということもあり、野球にそこまで関心がない人々もいましたが、私はとても楽しい一時を過ごしました。小学生たちに、三つの「R」を教えてあげた「Responsibility, Respect and Reality」

Conveying to the kids of Australia "Responsibility, Respect and Reality." In between practice and my workout out I talked to about 100 primary school boys and girls. I talked and answered questions for about 30 minutes and really had a lot of fun talking baseball in a non baseball community.

We can understand that you really enjoyed staying in Geelong by these photos. People in Geelong were very kind for us when I had stayed in there ,too. So I had visited Australia threee times. If Marines spring training would be hold in there next year, I would like to visit there.
To Bobby, his wonderful management group and all the fantastic Chiba Lotte team members and crew : Thank you very much! You were the very best kind of guests - we had fun, you taught us how to be better hosts and created many new friendships along the way - you expressed constant appreciation and never wore out your welcome. We hope for your return. All the best for 2006. Do it again!!

オーストラリアの動物たちはカワイイですね。
私は関東に住んでいるのですが、球団はないので今まではあんまり野球見てなかったし、正直ルールも知りませんでした。
でも、去年のプレイオフからなんとなく見始めてはまってしまいました。
ルールも勉強したので、今年はマリンに応援にいきます。
