(January 28th) This is my last day in Japan before getting on the plane headed to Australia.

I went to Shinjyuku to participate in DEEN’s 20th concert. The tour was called, “DEEN Live Joy-Break 11” and I was proud to be a part of it for my friends, DEEN (Shu, Shinji, and Koji) and all the members of the GOOD DAY production. I also had an opportunity to put on my tuxedo and introduce them on the stage. The amazing thing was, when I got up on the stage there were thousands of screaming fans waiting for the concert to start, and I spoke without a microphone. As a spotlight was cast upon me, I began the introduction saying, “Ladies and gentlemen, now we have the pleasure of listening to DEEN!” Again, I didn’t use a microphone. My voice got louder and I introduced a song by saying, “Now DEEN and Diamond!” and people understood that the concert was starting on time. I was just happy to be there with the guys and enjoy the moment with all the DEEN fans.

Afterwards, I rushed off to Narita Airport to get on a charter 747 to Melbourne with the entire team. It was an exciting time for us, and JAL had a beautiful setup for us on the plane by having our logo on all the seats and special menu made just for our team. We arrived safely in Australia. In a couple of days, we’ll officially start the 2007 baseball season.

Today I had a chance to go out to a ballpark with the guys and unofficially watched them work out. We also looked at the facilities.

Most of you may already know that there has been a severe draught in Australia over the last few months. As a matter of fact, there is a stage 4-Alert in the Geelong area. Yet, the city passed a referendum to allow us to use some water to keep the grass green on the fields, bullpens, and batting cage. All looks as good as it can possibly be this time of the year.

The guys look so enthusiastic out on the field. I’ll talk more about the guys on the next post, so stay tuned!

    from chi-ko

    (Kantoku, Konnichiwa!
It’s been more than a month since I posted my last comment so I’d like to start from a new year greeting …
    Happy New Year.

It’s been a while since I posted my comment here.

I knew that you were going to be on the stage for one of the DEEN’s concerts but the only concert that I went to was in Sendai and not the one that you went.
I was so sad when I found out about it … (T_T)
But I’m really happy that you talked about the time ☆

    Thank you very much.

On the day that the spring training camp started, I saw a lot of TV stations broadcasting about the Marines!
I was able to find out that the team invited a chef from Japan for nutrition management.
The players need to stay healthy. For that it is also really important to eat healthy.
Eat healthy, have decent amount of exercise, and sleep well are crucial; players won’t gain 100% from the training if one of these are missing.
I think it’s so wonderful that you clearly know what the players need.

I look forward to seeing the team do well as I continue to root for the team.

    I’ll visit here again (^^)/

    Most sincerely,
    Chi-ko)

    (Kantoku, Konnichiwa.

I heard that it is really hot in Australia. I also found out that the team moved the practice time to evening. I also know that the area has been suffering from a draught so I worry about you and the players in the team. Please take care and hope that the training camp will be a significant one.)

Manager Valentine Bobby is an appearance where it went to the final performance of DEEN to see.
The commemoration taking a picture with the DEEN member reflects good and beautifully. Does manager Valentine shine taking the opportunity of this concert?

Please hold out at this season so that Chiba Marines may win.

    Hatabo.

    (Konbanwa, Bobby.
I’ve been checking how you are doing by watching the news on TV. You look great!
I was there at the DEEN’s concert so I was able to see you on the stage ♪ I was hoping that you might show up when DEEN’s going to perform the song, “Diamond”. I was so happy to see you there ♪ So it was intentional how you didn’t have a microphone! I didn’t know until I saw your blog!
I hope that you will be able to stay there longer when they are going to have another concert!

    (Konbanwa~ Valentine-kantoku!!!
Thank you for coming to the DEEN’s final concert for the year to energize the show even though the spring training camp was about to start that time~!!!
So the representation (without microphone) was intentional!!! You looked like a real gentleman.
I wish you were able to stay longer as you were only able to be there with us for a couple of minutes, because you had to get to Narita airport …
However, I was glad to see you on the last concert for the year.
I saw how the spring camp training is going on the sports news.
I will be looking forward to seeing your great smile, “Bobby smile”, and rooting for the team.
Also I’m looking forward to enjoying DEEN’s concert with you at the Break12 shows.
    Please take care.)
